Sheer cutting. There was the slightest trace of mud here for the first time. What a waste. Reopen it now! Royston Vasey and a man who has lost one ski stick and both skis!

Another concrete plinth and more stalactites. Refuge-plus. Old gates and general ephemera again. The portal seems to have been rebuilt at this end for 10m or so. Perhaps it collapsed at some point in its history... anyone know?

Water main? In a tunnel? Anyone know? Still all in one piece. The non-standard profile from the outside. Blue engineering bricks used - not typical MR materials so perhaps it is relatively recent?
