| Back towards Stoke from Bradnop is Stockton Brook tunnel. There has been some serious strengthening and drainage work done. I don't know if it was done after closure, I suspect so because the top of the tunnel has probably encroached on the loading gauge, but it seems a lot of money to spend for a none operational railway.. There is a concrete trough running the full length of the tunnel carrying constantly flowing water. |
